Play It Safe Program

The South Australian Circus Centre, home of Cirkidz, knows that young people thrive through learning to set goals, to work hard and to minimse risk through safe and skilful play. They also know that young people can be an inspiration to others including their peers and their wider communities. The SA Circus Centre believes that teaching skilful mastery over bodies is the best way to help young people make wise choices about their bodies, prevent unsafe risk taking and build community.

Young people are the most likely in society to take unsafe risks, so with Charles Sturt CouncilPoint ALearn to Break, and Soul Strong Society, a program was built around safe risk taking, which included community performances during the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and a series of short videos which can be used to communicate ideas around risk taking.
